This Isn't Your Average High School: A New Kind of Education Has Arrived in the Grand Valley

Chesterton Academy of St. Carlo Acutis Catholic High School (CASCA) is now enrolling students for the 2026–2027 school year.

Our headmaster, Brian Sargent, brings over 30 years of teaching experience, a Master's degree in Administration, and teaching certifications in Math and Science. A passionate educator, Brian spent much of his career at Palisade High School.

Our curriculum

At CASCA, we emphasize a rigorous classical curriculum designed to cultivate critical thinking and independent reasoning through the study of math, literature, science, and language.

Students complete four years of Math and four years of Science, two years of Latin followed by two additional years of Latin or Spanish, and academic coursework in art, music, and theater — encouraging students to express themselves creatively alongside their academic studies.

Rather than focusing on memorization, we encourage students to explore real questions, examine ideas, and draw their own conclusions. Our small student-to-teacher ratio allows for personalized attention and mentorship in a supportive environment.

Enrichment Program

We also offer the Classical Education Enrichment Program (CEEP), which brings the Mathematics and Fine Arts portions of our curriculum to homeschool students — expanding educational opportunities throughout the valley.

All Faiths Welcome

We welcome students of all faiths and are committed to a diverse learning environment where varied perspectives are shared and appreciated. Extracurricular field trips are planned, and our graduates gain access to an expanding network of exclusive scholarships and college partnerships.

Scholarships, grants, and family enrollment incentives are available for tuition assistance.

Our Location

We are centrally located at 522 White Ave. in downtown Grand Junction, inside the First United Methodist Church. The facility features strong security, a full floor of classrooms, a lunchroom with a kitchen, and an outdoor atrium.
